Eyes that see unending,
Eyes so never-ending,
In what strange glowing shape and size,
Cast from the dark a hundred eyes.
Oh eyes which peer into the deep,
Alert through deaths incessant sleep,
What dreams befall such fettered tides,
A hundred eyes of those who’ve died.
What spell hath woven thus eyes to speak,
…and peer out from the murky bleak?
Surrounded in incandescent glow,
As if from baneful realms below,
Oh, eyes of death that do decree,
They wait in darkest seas for me.
