Mental health

After a good friend of mine committed suicide years ago, I began studying and getting certified in various aspects of mental health. While I have read books on psychology for decades, it was that pivotal point in my life that turned it into a passion, for helping others and understanding the human mind. I have dozens of certifications today and over 300 hours (I ceased counting at that point) of fieldwork with clients.

I do not make a lot of money from this work, as I often help the underserved and those who cannot afford mental healthcare, though I find the work extremely rewarding, especially when clients tell me that I’ve changed their lives. I continually study and grow, plus I learn more from helping each client, as helping them helps me to understand better.
